"Jacks Tora Bora Cafe"
(Its written about in the best-selling war book, The Hunt for Bin Laden) and it was the FIRST place to get the ok for serving alcohol.  It is on the rooftop of the Mustafa Hotel in Kabul, and run by two American expats called Weiss and Sol.  It is very reminiscent of Lucy's Tiger Den in Bangkok in the 70's and 80's. SF drinks free the first night-- so I'll let Weiss and Sol know that CP boys should too.

LOOK OUT INN PATTAYA

 Details:  

    The Look Out Inn is located conveniently close to "Walking Street" in Pattaya and is frequented by multiple nationalities, but seems to draw a majority of Americans, especially military veterans and active duty sailors that are looking for conversation and cold beer.  It also has great food.  Look Out In is not a traditional "Pattaya Go-Go" bar type of establishment, but rather a Happy Hour Watering Hole in the true sense of the word.

 Benefits:

    As you know, with the disappearance of Hank Edward's Dragon Inn (Soi 23 - BKK) and with the passing of George Pipas (Texas Lonestar), there is not a location in Thailand that actively represents the interests of CP#1 members.  As current Life-Members of CP#1, both Hub and I feel that The Look Out Inn offers us a great new location to expand the recruiting opportunities for CP#1, as well as offer a sanctioned Watering Hole to members of the active US Military as they pass through Pattaya on shore-leave or pass.  In addition, there are veterans all over Thailand that cannot belong to the VFW, but are friends of all VFW members.  It will be great to have a place like Swa's in Thailand that can become their "meeting place".
